2016 FCI – WUSV – SV – COAPA - FCM World German Shepherd Conference

2016 Baltic Winner Show: the "classics" are still highly valued!
On November 12th and 13th 2016, no less than 2,541 dogs met
in Riga to try and win the Baltic Winner title. As much as 265 different breeds
were shown and judged by an international panel of 17 judges.

30th Malaga International Dog Show
Malaga - a truly unique CACIB
As was to be expected, Sunday morning dawned in the same way as Saturday had done
and it was another rainy day.
The venue opened on time and with a larger number of dogs entered on this occasion,
the draw of the SCCS (the Sociedad Canina de la Costa del Sol meant that we had
the very impressive figure of 952 entries in the Lanca catalogue.

FCI European Cup for Spaniels, 9th edition: France monopolises the top
spots
On November 28th and 29th, 2016, Blingel, in the French region
of Pas de Calais, was the stage for the ninth FCI European Cup for Spaniels.
France, who was in charge of organising an event that rallied five nations around
those hunting breeds, more than lived up to the expectations.

36th Alicante International Dog Show
It has been four years since the last time I went to the national and international
dog shows in Alicante. After such a long gap you really notice the changes – for
better and worse - that have taken place over this time.

The General Secretariat of the FCI meets local and main partners to review the most
successful 2016 activities
On December 12th, over thirty people met and spent a very pleasant time
at the global headquarters of our federation. The season is ideally suited for stocktaking
and warm meetings with those who have meant so much throughout the year.

International dog show in Reykjavik, Iceland, November 12-13, 2016
The Icelandic Kennel Club held an international dog show in Reykjavik, Iceland,
on November 12-13th 2016. The theme of the show was Winter-Wonderland. The judges
were Mr George Schogol from Georgia, Ms Irina V. Poletaeva from Finland, Mr Rafael
Malo Alcrudo from Spain, Mr Svante Frisk from Sweden and Mr Svend Løvenkjær from
Denmark.

at the Dortmund meeting the previous year.
Argentina and the city of Buenos Aires welcome the FCI members in 1993. Mr
